Meet your milliner

Maria Etkind is a Panamanian graphic designer, fine artist, and New Orleans based milliner.

After living in New Orleans for 13 years, in 2014 she moved to The Hague, The Netherlands where she discovered the art of millinery. Upon taking her first course in hat making, a new passion was born. In the Winter of 2017 she moved back to New Orleans, Louisiana to open her own couture millinery studio.

Made to order hats

Maria creates custom hats for many special events like the Kentucky Derby, The Royal Ascot, Mardi Gras parades, weddings, special events, and luncheons. When you enquire about buying a hat, you’ll experience a personal consultation. Your event, your desired style, your outfit, and a complimentary color-way will be discussed to find the perfect custom designed piece for you.

Custom orders are handcrafted and take 2-6 weeks, depending on style and material availability.
